Context
Feedback on stories was happening in emails, Slack, and documents, disconnected from the actual content being reviewed. We wanted to bring collaboration directly into Shorthand.
A commenting system that lets teams leave feedback directly in the editor, keeping context intact and simplifying the review process.
Process
- Built a comments sidebar accessible from the editor toolbar
- Added the ability to comment on sections or on specific text by selecting it
- Teammates can be tagged in comments, triggering an in-app and email notification
- Comments can be responded to or resolved to track progress
Solution
Leave comments for your team directly in Shorthand. Ask a question, suggest a change, or give feedback, all in context. Tagged teammates get notified and can jump in to respond or resolve.
