This was the day of horror
In memory of those murdered
Sunset over Los Angeles
ARE YOU WATCHING?
Are You watching us, O Lord?
Are You watching us, O Lord?
Are You watching us, O Lord?
Are You watching us, O Lord?
Are You watching us, O Lord?
Are You watching us, O Lord?
Are You watching us, O Lord?
Verse and Photo Background by Dorothy Acton
No eyes should ever see,
With loss of life and innocence,
Hearts torn from sea to sea.
by terrorists on Sept. 11, 2001
Sept. 11, 2001
Even the sky mourned this day.
As the sky is filled with flames,
As our hearts are torn asunder
With the growing list of names.
As our heroes dig and cry,
As the children ask and wonder
Why their parents had to die.
As the plans of death are made,
As the anger and the hatred
Raise a hand that won't be stayed.
As our hearts look for release,
As our minds wrench in confusion
Seeing war but seeking peace.
As we bow beneath the shame,
As we witness evil actions
Hiding guised behind Your Name.
As each decade comes and goes,
As our footsteps seem to echo
Through a world lost in woes.
Hear our broken spirits sigh.
Still we grasp the hope of ages,
Knowing that You, also, cry.
